She did not even tell us there would be a long wait-gave us no option but "GET OUT of my RESTAURANT"-which is exactly how we all felt we had been treated. Had it been 45 minutes before closing, I could have understood it, but the was TWO HOURS.
This place is out in the boonies, the website does NOT specify that reservations are required, and yet she would not seat us! I was furious, disappointed for my mom, who had looked forward to this for a long time, and thoroughly disgusted. But when I went in to ask for a table for three (THREE-NOT 33), the "hostess" who was an older woman, informed me "I am not taking any more walk ins." Flatly, unsmiling, no room for argument. After my sister and mom got inside, I went to park the car-there were PLENTY of spaces open. They were very busy, but not as busy as I have seen them other times. on a Saturday night-TWO HOURS before closing. there many times in the past, but not in awhile, and we have never needed reservations except on a holiday. It was quite a drive for us we have been. Yesterday, we drove my recently widowed mother there for her 92nd birthday.
